THE WX REPORT
Editorial Standards
The WX Report separates official information from independent reporting and labels sources on every story.
How stories are selected
- Immediate threats to life and property receive priority.
- Official warnings outrank commentary in automatic placement.
- Independent sources are curated for subject expertise, clarity, and a record of responsible work.
- Duplicate, outdated, misleading, or sensationalized items may be removed.
- Opinion and analysis should be distinguishable from official alerts and factual reporting.
The national front page highlights flash flood warnings, tornado and severe thunderstorm watches and warnings, and tropical cyclone alerts and related impacts. Other active alerts remain available through the local forecast search and the National Weather Service warnings link.
